Episode #97 – Black Skates And Heartbreak

Canucks bring back the classic skate jersey for one night only, and for one night only, they make the Maple Leafs look like an NHL team.

Ryan, Geeta and P Mac are here this week to talk about the erratic Vancouver Canucks. Following a tough loss on Hockey Night in Canada to the Toronto Marlies, you begin to wonder what the team can or will do in the two weeks before the NHL Trade Deadline.

They also look at Nazem Kadri’s actions that got him fined $5,000 by the league and compare it to Zack Kassian’s similar threat to Steven Stamkos.

Speaking of Stamkos, the rumours are swirling!! Where is he going to sign? Buffalo? Tampa Bay? Toronto or OMG OMG OMG Vancouver? There’s rumblings, cap space and a pesky ownership that wants a super star wearing blue, green and white. Where will he go?

Tough bench interviews w/ Stu Walters on the WHL on Shaw, Evander Kane’s lonely snapchat and much much more on this week’s podcast!

There’s a contest on this week’s podcast. email us the secret word that Geeta says on the podcast to win a Bo Horvat Skate jersey shirt. email us at to enter!

Episode #96 – Shut Your Hall of Fame Pie Hole

Pavel Bure

We have several questions, comments and concerns about retired jerseys and the Hockey Hall of Fame this week.

A full bench of PON’sters, Ryan, Dave, Geeta & P Mac are here this week to talk about the struggling Montreal Canadiens. Can anything be done to help salvage their season? Will the coach or GM go? And what will happen to Carey Price? Shut down for the season or keep awkwardly skating gingerly in that tracksuit?

On the Vancouver Canucks front, the gang talks about Jim Benning having no problems waiving old, underproducing players if he can’t get a good enough trade for them. They also talk about how many jerseys could be retired in the coming years, and quite possibly before a Stanley Cup is won.

They also talk about Ryan Miller’s 3rd period struggles and if they need to get experimental and throw Jacob Markstrom in as a closer. They also talk about the allegations and rumours regarding Jake Virtanen’s weight and what the team is doing in result of this.

Really fun podcast this week!

Recorded during the 2016 NHL All-Star Game in Nashville, Ryan Dave and Geeta are back together this week to talk all about the weekend festivities.

The NHL finally figured it out and put on an entertaining, heartwarming and exciting All-Star Weekend. Players actually wanting to be there, having fun and of course putting on a show for the kids (it’s all about the kids).

They also talk about John Scott’s “Rudy”-like weekend and experience, how well the players and fans reacted to him and the legitimately fun night at the Skills Competition.

Dave shares a good Bobby Orr story and gives Geeta a present for giving him her Geeta’s GameCentre log in and the gang figure out just how the Canucks can sign Steven Stamkos.
