Episode #79 – Stay In Tampa, Steven!

The preseason is in full swing and a colourful cast of characters are taking the roles of Canucks preseason superstars! Who will be this year’s Fedor Fedorov?


Dave, P Mac and Ryan are recording at the Coliseum where the Vancouver Giants had a successful home opener and read Geeta’s letter from Paris. Is there a trip to Euro-Disneyland in the mix?

The guys talk about attending the Canucks’ preseason game vs Calgary and defensive standout Ben Hutton and look at the upcoming Canucks season and who could get those coveted final roster spots.

They also talk about the messy and on-going Patrick Kane saga, Stanley Cup engraving and just where Steven Stamkos could go or end up….hint, we think it’s totally Tampa.

Finally, the guys talk about the young Oilers and their latest reboot, the World Cup of Hockey and John Tortorella’s return to coaching behind team USA!

Episode #78 – I Appreciate The Question

Patrick Kane appreciates your questions and appreciates this week’s podcast!


Geeta, P Mac and Ryan gather this week to talk about of all things, New York Islanders camp? Okay, well just Josh Ho-Sang getting sent home on the first day for being late thus living up to his reputation that plagued him on draft day in 2014.

They also look at the awkward Patrick Kane press conference and look at another player facing legal troubles, Clayton Stoner, who’s currently facing charges related to illegally killing a bear.


Friend of the show and CBC reporter Brady Strachan joins us to talk about covering the Young Stars Tournament in Penticton, Nic Petan and growing up in the same town as Ed Belfour.

Finally, the gang talks about the Maple Leafs’ new hair and shaving policies that carried over from the Devils, The Penguins’ taste in music and the metal detectors coming to Rogers Arena and all 30 buildings around the NHL.

Episode #77 – Hey, Gary, Baby I Got Your Money!

The gang’s back together! Paul, Dave, Geeta & Ryan return from summer vacation ready for NHL training camps and the pre-season.

They discuss the unusual gimmicks featured in the 2016 World Cup of Hockey, mainly the under-23 team and discuss the hockey overkill that could happen if the NHL goes to the Olympics in South Korea in 2018.


They look at the Young Stars tournament in Penticton. Connor McDavid’s somewhat debut in an Edmonton Oilers jersey as well as Jake Virtanen laying the body on every player in orange on the ice.  Is Jake the Snake playing for the Canucks this season? Or will he have to fight even harder for the final roster spot on Vancouver’s big club.


They also look at the Boston Bruins’ draft picks failing conditioning tests, the various legal troubles of NHL players and the upcoming uniform deal the NHL has with Adidas and have some fun talking about Evander Kane!
