Episode #74 – Help Me, Ronda!

The Chicago Blackhawks have a dynasty and Ronda barely still has her Arizona Coyotes.

Ryan and P Mac are here this week to break down the Blackhawks’ third Stanley Cup in six seasons, their unquestioned dynasty and the mounting injuries of the Tampa Bay Lightning in the Stanley Cup Final.

They also look towards draft day and free agency for Jim Benning and the Vancouver Canucks. What type of player they’re looking for at 23rd overall, who could stay and who could go before draft day on June 26th.

P Mac also shares his thoughts on the Arizona Coyotes ongoing problems, the enthusiastic Yotes Superfan Ronda Pearson and her tasing the Glendale Mayor…for charity.

Finally, they look at Alexei Yashin FINALLY being off the New York Islanders books. He hasn’t played on Long Island since 2001, but because of one of the worst contracts in NHL history, his buyout was still being paid to him 14 years later. P Mac and Ryan also talk Mike Milbury, worst GM in NHL history?

Episode #73 – Uncle Gary’s Homeless ‘Yotes

If you live in the greater Phoenix or Scottsdale area and have room to house an NHL team, training and front office staff as well as 15,000 Shane Doan jersey shirts, Gary Bettman wants to talk to you. Please email him – LockoutLover69@NHL.com

Dave, Geeta and Ryan are back this week and are talking about Lightning and Blackhawks knotted up at two. A mysterious Ben Bishop injury and a coach that’s playing him into the ground. They’re also talking about Tampa Bay’s unusual ticket policy regarding visiting team apparel.

The gang also spends a lot of time and has a lot of fun talking about the ogoing saga in the dessert with the Arizona Coyotes. They’re homeless, need a rink and need a fan base. They play some audio of one passionate Coyotes fan, but it’s just not enough to keep a franchise in the area.

Finally, the gang touches on Auston Matthews, top prospect for 2016 and his desires to possibly play in the Swiss league. Where will he develop better? in the rough n tumble WHL on the Everett Silvertips? Or playing with washed up has-beens playing for a paycheque and a birth at the Spangler Cup?

Episode #72 – It Is What It Is, Anaheim

Tampa Bay and Chicago are going to the Stanley Cup Final and Ryan Kesler waits to win his championship.

Geeta, Ryan and P Mac get together and record this podcast just after the Oshawa Generals defeated the Kelowna Rockets in the Memorial Cup Final.

They’re talking about some members of the podcast’s solid Stanley Cup champion predictions from October (Dave and Geeta are still alive). They look at the amazing Western Conference Final, Ryan Kesler’s performance and the “under achiever” title that Ryan Getzlaf and Corey Perry are slowly being given. (Something about those big power forwards in California huh?).

They also talk Kelowna Rockets and the Memorial Cup that Cole Cassels and Oshawa won as well as a quick look at what fellow Canucks’ prospect Jake Virtanen is doing down in Utica!

Geeta presents the boys with a “Which Blackhawk You Should Get With” Buzzfeed quiz and talk about Getzlaf’s famous last words from Game 7: “It is what it is!”
